The Kansas Jayhawks have added the South Dakota Coyotes to their 2013 football schedule, USD has announced.

Kansas will host South Dakota at Memorial Stadium in Lawrence on September 7, 2013. The game will be only the second ever between the two schools. The Jayhawks beat the Coyotes 42-0 way back in 1900.

USD plays in the Great West Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision. In 2012, the Coyotes will join the Missouri Valley Conference.

The addition of the Coyotes gives the Kansas Jayhawks two non-conference games on their 2013 football schedule. They only need one more game to complete their ’13 slate.
