The Jackson State Tigers have released their fall 2021 football schedule, which includes five home contests and two neutral-site games.
“We are very excited to announce our fall 2021 football schedule,” said JSU head football coach Deion Sanders. “Our young men are able to play in fantastic venues and will receive a great experience. I would like to thank our great Vice President and Director of Athletics, Ashley Robinson for setting the table for an entertaining and exciting slate.”
Jackson State opens the fall 2021 season on Sunday, Sept. 5 in the Orange Blossom Classic against the Florida A&M Rattlers at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. It will be Florida A&M’s first contest as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC).
The Tigers then travel to face the Tennessee State Tigers in the Southern Heritage Classic at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday, Sept. 11.
Two previously unannounced non-conference games follow. Jackson State travels to take on the ULM Warhawks on Saturday, Sept. 18 before opening up their home schedule at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson, Miss., on Saturday, Sept. 25 against the Delta State Statesmen.
After an open date on Oct. 2, Jackson State travels to take on the Alabama A&M Bulldogs on Oct. 9 before returning home to host consecutive contests against the Alabama State Hornets on Oct. 16 and the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats on Oct. 23.
Jackson State returns to the road on Oct. 30 at the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils before hosting the Texas Southern Tigers in Jackson on Nov. 6.
JSU closes out the fall 2021 regular-season with games at the Southern Jaguars on Nov. 13 and at home against the Alcorn State Braves on Nov. 20.
The 2021 SWAC Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4 at a site to be determined.

Jackson State is scheduled to play their first season under head coach Deion Sanders this spring. The Tigers kick off their delayed season on Sunday, Feb. 21 at home against the Edward Waters Tigers.
