The Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation has reached an agreement with Buffalo Wild Wings to be the title sponsor of the Tempe, Arizona bowl game that pits the Big 12 against the Big Ten. The new name of the game is the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
The 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl is set for Saturday, Dec. 29 at 8:15 p.m. ET at Sun Devil Stadium. The game will be televised by ESPN and pits the no. 4 team from the Big 12 against the no. 4 or 5 team from the Big Ten.
Former names of the bowl include Copper Bowl (1989-1996), Insight.com Bowl (1997-2001) and Insight Bowl (2002-2011).
In last years match-up, the Oklahoma Sooners defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 31-14.
