The Incarnate Word Cardinals have announced their 2020 football schedule, which features a game at Baylor.

The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) opens the 2020 season with back-to-back Southland Conference contests on the road, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 3 at Northwestern State. UIW then visits Lamar on Sept. 12 before traveling to take on Baylor in a non-conference contest on Sept. 19.

The Cardinals then travel to face Abilene Christian on Oct. 3 before returning home to host Presbyterian on Oct. 10, their second and final non-conference contest of the season. Southland Conference opponents fill out their remainder of UIW’s schedule, which continues with a visit from Southeastern Louisiana on Oct. 17.

After an open date on Oct. 24, UIW travels to take on Nicholls on Oct. 31 before returning to San Antonio to host consecutive games against Houston Baptist on Nov. 7 and Stephen F. Austin on Nov. 14.

Just hope the Cardinals are actually able to play their newly announced schedule.

What I’m talking about, of course, is the possible effect of the coronavirus pandemic on college football as well as all other sports. Right now it is generally assumed the 2020 schedule will be played but it is by no means certain.

I agree with Lou, this is the schedule for 2020. I just confirmed on their website. Not sure where the confusion is coming from. I don’t see any reason they won’t be able to play, given that they just announced who they are playing. Unless crowbyate knows something else that is going on with the program.
