The Georgia Southern Eagles will play at the Clemson Tigers in 2026 and at the Kentucky Wildcats in 2029, the school announced on Monday.

Georgia Southern will travel to take on Clemson at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, S.C., on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026. The Tigers will pay the Eagles a $1.5 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Georgia Southern University.

Georgia Southern and Clemson have only met once previously on the gridiron. The Tigers defeated the Eagles 38-7 in that contest on Sept. 15, 2018 in Clemson.

Clemson is the third announced non-conference opponent for Georgia Southern in 2026. The Eagles are also scheduled to host Houston on Sept. 26 and play at Liberty on Oct. 10.

With the addition of Georgia Southern, Clemson’s 2026 non-conference slate is now complete. The Tigers are scheduled to open the season at LSU on Sept. 5 and later host Charleston Southern on Nov. 7 and South Carolina on Nov. 28.

On Sept. 1, 2029, the Georgia Southern Eagles will travel to play the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field in Lexington, Ky. Georgia Southern will receive a $1.35 million guarantee for the contest, which will also mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

Georgia Southern is also scheduled to play at Eastern Michigan on Sept. 22 during the 2029 season. Kentucky’s only other game currently scheduled for that season is at Louisville on Nov. 24.
