Five Ohio Valley Conference teams have added non-conference opponents for the 2020 season, according to a revised schedule on the OVC’s official website.

Back in January, the Ohio Valley Conference released their conference football schedule through the 2028 season. The schedule did not include non-conference contests, but the 2020 schedule now lists those games.

Below are the five Ohio Valley teams that have added non-conference contests, and all were previously unreported. Additionally, two OVC contests have changed dates and are also noted below:

Austin Peay

Austin Peay has added a home game against the ETSU Buccaneers on Sept. 26, 2020, which completes their non-conference slate. The Governors also play at Cincinnati (Sept. 5) and at Central Arkansas (Sept. 19).

Two of Austin Peay’s Ohio Valley Conference games in 2020 have changed dates. A home game against UT Martin has been moved from Nov. 21 to Sept. 12, while a home contest against Murray State has been shifted from Oct. 24 to Nov. 21.

Jacksonville State

Jacksonville State has added a game at the FIU Panthers on Sept. 5, 2020. The Gamecocks are also slated to play at North Alabama (Sept. 12) and host Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 19) in non-conference action.

The addition of this contest also completes FIU’s 2020 non-conference schedule. FIU’s schedule also includes a home game vs. UCF (date TBA) and road games at Liberty (Sept. 26) and UMass (Oct. 24).

Southeast Missouri

Southeast Missouri has added a home game against the Dayton Flyers on Sept. 5, 2020. The Redhawks are also scheduled to play road contests at Ole Miss (Sept. 12) and Southern Illinois (Sept. 19).

Tennessee State

Tennessee State has added road non-conference games at the Southern Jaguars on Sept. 5, 2020 and at the Jackson State Tigers on Sept. 12, 2020.

The Tigers still have one remaining non-conference spot open for their 2020 schedule.

Tennessee Tech

Tennessee Tech has added a game at the Samford Bulldogs on Sept. 5, 2020, and a home contest against the North Carolina Central Eagles on Sept. 19, 2020. Tennessee Tech is also scheduled to play at Minnesota on Sept. 12.

In addition to the seven non-conference games added and the two date changes, the Ohio Valley Conference schedule for 2020 now lists the bye weeks for each team:

  • Austin Peay – Oct. 24
  • Eastern Illinois – Sept. 19
  • Eastern Kentucky – Oct. 24
  • Jacksonville State – Nov. 7
  • Murray State – Oct. 24
  • Southeast Missouri – Oct. 3
  • Tennessee State – Oct. 17
  • Tennessee Tech – Oct. 31
  • UT Martin – Nov. 21
