FCS Playoffs 2019: Quarterfinal games schedule, TV, bracket

The 2019 FCS Playoffs continue this weekend with four quarterfinal games on the schedule. Three of the four contests are slated for Friday.

The action on Friday, December 13 kicks off at 7:00pm ET with the 2nd-seed James Madison Dukes hosting the Northern Iowa Panthers. The game will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron and it will be televised nationally by ESPN2.

One hour later at 8:00pm ET, the No. 5 Montana State Bobcats play host to the Austin Peay Governors. Like Northern Iowa-James Madison, the Austin Peay-Montana State contest is also a first-ever matchup. The game will be streamed via ESPN3.

FCS Quarterfinal action continues on Friday night with the No. 3 seed Weber State Wildcats hosting the No. 6 seed Montana Grizzlies. The game, set for 10:00pm ET on ESPN2, will be the 56th overall meeting between the two schools. The 55th meeting occurred earlier this season, with Montana coming out on top 35-16 in Missoula, Mont.

Quarterfinal round FCS Playoff action wraps up on Saturday, Dec. 14 with the No. 1 seed North Dakota State Bison hosting the Illinois State Redbirds at noon ET on ESPN. The Bison have defeated the Redbirds in their last eight meetings, including 37-3 earlier this season in Normal, Ill.

Winners of the quarterfinal games will move on to the FCS Semifinals and will play on Saturday, Dec. 21.

The Division I Football Championship Game will be played on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas (Noon ET, ABC).
