The Colorado State Rams and the UTEP Miners have agreed to a home-and-home football series in 2011 and 2018.
The series will begin with the Rams of the Mountain West visiting the Sun Bowl in El Paso on October 22, 2011. The series finale will take place in Fort Collins at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium on September 8, 2018.
The Rams lead the all-time series 24-9, with the last meeting occurring during the 1998 season. The series was scheduled when Nevada and Fresno State (future members of the Mountain West) recently announced they would stay in the WAC until 2012.
With the addition of UTEP, the 2011 Colorado State non-conference schedule is now complete. The Rams will host Northern Colorado (9/10) and San Jose State (10/1), while playing a neutral site game vs. Colorado in Denver (9/17). The Rams will travel to Utah State (9/24) and UTEP (10/22).
UTEP now has 2011 non-conference games scheduled at New Mexico State and USF and home against Colorado State.
“UTEP now has 2011 non-conference games scheduled at Colorado State and USF and home against New Mexico State.”
Shouldn’t that read “UTEP now has 2011 non-conference games scheduled at USF and home against New Mexico State and Colorado State.”…?
Edited it. UTEP is at New Mexico State and USF and home against CSU.
Wonder how the Spartans will fare against Colorado State? Rams aren’t that good as of now….maybe this is a game we can steal away!
