November 22 is also when the biggest FCS rivalry, Harvard-Yale will be played. It will air at noon on ESPNU.

Starting next year it should be played on Friday night and aired on ABC, which hasn’t aired the rivalry since 1980.

Not enough people interested in that game nationwide to air it in prime time on a Friday night on a major network.

The idea is to entice the most people to tune into your network so they will see the commercials your advertisers pay for that in turn keeps the lights on at your network.

TV doesn’t exist to show random football games. TV exists to show commercials and the people who pay for those want them to be seen by as many people as possible.

there is no way that game is aired by ABC in prime time . no one cares enough about it. the ratings would be horrendous. ESPNU at noon is about right

Z-Man ABC will have to pay a penalty & cannot show a Friday evening game on black Friday.

ABC would be fantastic for Harvard-Yale & keep its traditional noon kickoff & have SEC at 3:30PM & 7:30PM.

Furthermore, CW would be an excellent candidate to show a Noon ACC game should ABC get Harvard-Yale next year or in future.

Credit Big Ten for deciding which games will suit them best for kickoff times & networks especially later part of regular season.
