College football rankings: Week 9, 2020

College football rankings for week 9 of the 2020 season have been released. Clemson remains the top-ranked team, while Ohio State moved up to 3rd.

Clemson (6-0) remains atop both the AP and Coaches polls following their 47-21 victory at home over Syracuse. The Tigers received 54 of the 62 first-place votes in the AP Poll and 52 of the 62 first-place votes in the Coaches Poll.

The Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0) remain in second in both polls after crushing the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville, 48-17.

The Ohio State Buckeyes, which played their first game of the season on Saturday, moved up two spots to 3rd in both polls following their 52-17 domination of Nebraska.

Notre Dame (5-0), Georgia (3-1), Oklahoma State (4-0), Cincinnati (4-0), and Texas A&M (3-1) round out the Top 8 in both polls.

Minnesota, NC State, and Virginia Tech each dropped out of both polls following losses in Week 8.
