College football rankings: Week 10, 2019

By Kevin Kelley -

College football rankings for week 10 of the 2019 season have been released. LSU moved into 1st place in the AP Poll, while Michigan made the biggest jump in both polls.

The LSU Tigers, who defeated then No. 9 Auburn 23-20 at home on Saturday, moved up one spot in the AP Poll to No. 1 and also moved up one spot in the Coaches Poll to No. 2.

The Michigan Wolverines crushed then No. 8 Notre Dame 45-14 at home, which propelled them back up the polls. Michigan moved up five spots in the AP Poll to No. 14 and five spots in the Coaches Poll to No. 15.

Four teams received first-place votes in the AP and Coaches polls again this week. Alabama leads the way with 21 in the AP and 40 in the Coaches, followed by LSU (17 AP, 7 Coaches), Ohio State (17 AP, 8 Coaches), and Clemson (7 AP, 10 Coaches).

What’s more impressive, 7-0 with a win against a decent UNC or 5-2 with one a loss to Illinois? I get the win over Michigan is something especially with them being Notre Dame, but I think App State should be ahead of Wiscantsin.

Just an opinion.

I know it’s not listed here since it is FCS, but NC A&T is ranked #16 at 5-2. FAMU is ranked #17 at 7-1, only loss is to UCF. A&T has losses to Duke and guess who….FAMU! Talk about a joke.
