College Football Playoff Logo Selected by Fans

By Kevin Kelley -

The new College Football Playoff, which is set to begin after the 2014 regular season, now has an official logo that was chosen in a fan vote.

“College football’s post-season is moving in a new direction and our logo will change with it,” Hancock said. “The Gold Football design is a sharp and polished look that will represent the new system nicely. Like our new name, it’s direct and gets right to the point. With 611 days left until the first playoff game of the new era, this is a very exciting time for college football.”

“Gold Football” won with 38 percent of the 101,670 votes that were cast. Logo three finished with 25 percent of the vote, logo one had 24 percent, and logo four brought up the rear with 13 percent (all logos pictured below). Logo four was allegedly the target of a vote stuffing attempt by a hacker in Austin, Texas.

What do you think of the Eye of Sauron logo, as SBNationa calls it? Which one did you vote for?
