The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers at South Alabama Jaguars football game in 2018 has been moved up one day to Friday, Nov. 23, South Alabama announced on Tuesday.
The game will be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. Game time and television coverage will be announced at a later date.
The 2018 contest between Coastal Carolina and South Alabama will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron. It will also be the regular-season finale for both schools with the inaugural Sun Belt Championship Game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1.
Coastal Carolina officially joined the Sun Belt Conference last season. The Chanticleers finished the season with a 3-9 overall record and a 2-6 record in Sun Belt Conference action.
South Alabama is set to open the 2018 season on Saturday, Sept. 1 at home against the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Coastal Carolina opens the season on the road at the South Carolina Gamecocks, also on Sept. 1.
