The Central Connecticut State Blue Devils have released their 2019 football schedule (via FCS STATS), which includes five home contests and seven road games.

CCSU starts its season with five of its first six on the road, with an Aug. 31 game at Fordham getting things underway. Provisional NEC member Merrimack visits on Sept. 7, marking the lone home game for the Blue Devils before mid-October. Treks to Valparaiso (Sept. 14), Eastern Michigan (Sept. 21), Sacred Heart (Oct. 5), and Columbia (Oct. 12) sandwiching a Sept. 28 open date.

Bryant and Long Island mark the first NEC schools to visit New Britain, traveling to Arute Field on Oct. 19 and 26. November begins with a trip to Wagner, followed by home outings against Saint Francis (Nov. 9) and Robert Morris (Nov. 16). A Nov. 23 visit to Duquesne completes the Blue Devils’ 2019 campaign.

CCSU finished 2018 with a 6-5 record (4-2 NEC), falling one touchdown short of a second-straight league title. The Blue Devils were 2017 NEC champions, making their first-ever NCAA Playoffs appearance.
