The Central Arkansas Bears and Houston Christian Huskies have agreed to a home-and-home football series for the 2028 and 2029 seasons, FBSchedules.com has learned.
A copy of the game contract between Central Arkansas and Houston Christian University was obtained by FBSchedules.com through a state public records request.
The series will kick off in Houston, Texas, where Central Arkansas will travel to face Houston Christian at Husky Stadium on Sept. 2, 2028. The return matchup is scheduled for Sept. 15, 2029, when the Bears host the Huskies at Estes Stadium in Conway, Ark.
Central Arkansas has won all five previous meetings in the series, holding a 5-0 advantage over Houston Christian. The teams last met in 2018, when the Bears posted a 66-35 victory in Conway.
With the addition of Houston Christian, Central Arkansas now has four non-conference opponents scheduled for the 2028 season. The Bears are also slated to host UT Martin on Aug. 24 and travel to UTRGV on Sept. 9 and Northwestern State on Sept. 16.
Looking ahead to 2029, Houston Christian becomes Central Arkansas’ third confirmed non-conference opponent, joining road trips to UT Martin on Aug. 23 and Louisiana Tech on Sept. 8.
For Houston Christian, the series adds to a future non-conference lineup that already includes a road contest at James Madison on Sept. 9, 2028, as well as 2029 road games against Prairie View A&M on Aug. 25 and Rice on Sept. 1.
