The Boston College Eagles have added the Colgate Raiders to their 2021 football schedule, it was announced on Thursday.
Boston College will host Colgate at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass., on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.
Colgate is a member of the Patriot League in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Raiders are scheduled to play their postponed fall football season this spring beginning on Saturday, March 13.
In other non-conference action in 2021, Boston College will travel to play the UMass Minutemen on Sept. 11 and the Temple Owls on Sept. 18 and will host the Missouri Tigers on Sept. 25.
The announcement of Boston College’s complete 2021 ACC football schedule with dates was also made on Thursday. The Eagles will host NC State (Oct. 16), Virginia Tech (Nov. 5), Florida State (Nov. 20), and Wake Forest (Nov. 27) and will play at Clemson (Oct. 2), Louisville (Oct. 23), Syracuse (Oct. 30), and Georgia Tech (Nov. 13).
The 2021 season will be the second for Boston College under head coach Jeff Hafley. The Eagles finished the 2020 season 6-5 overall and 5-5 in conference action.
