The Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen will face off on Saturday in the 113th edition of the Army-Navy game. The game will by played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA (3 p.m. ET, CBS).
Navy leads the overall series 56-49-7. The Midshipmen beat the Black Knights 27-21 last season and have now won 10 straight in the series and 13 of the last 15.
Army is 2-9 on the season with wins over Air Force and Boston College. Obviously, the Black Knights did not qualify for a bowl game.
Navy, currently 7-4, will be heading to the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl in San Francisco to face Arizona State (Dec. 29, 4 p.m. ET, ESPN2). The Midshipmen’s seven wins came against VMI, Air Force, Central Michigan, Indiana, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, abd Texas State.
Although Navy will head into the game as the favorite, Army hopes to upset the Middies and lay claim to their first Commander-in-Chief’s Trophy in 16 years.
The Army-Navy game is the final FBS regular-season game in 2012. The bowl season kicks off on Saturday, December 15 (2012-13 Bowl Schedule).
