The Ball State Cardinals have added the Murray State Racers and the Kentucky Wildcats to their future football schedules, FBSchedules.com has learned.
Copies of both game contracts were obtained by FBSchedules.com from Ball State University via a state public records request.
Ball State will host Murray State at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana on Sept. 17, 2022. The Racers will receive a $375,000 guarantee for the game, per the contract.
The 2022 game between Ball State and Murray State will be their first-ever meeting on the gridiron. The Racers are a member of the Ohio Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Ball State will travel to take on the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field in Lexington on Sept. 2, 2023. The Wildcats will pay the Cardinals a $1.55 million guarantee for playing the game, according to a copy of the contract.
