The USA TODAY Sports Coaches Top 25 Poll for week 4 has been released, and just like the AP Poll, Alabama and LSU sit atop the rankings. Oregon, Florida State, and Oklahoma complete the Top 5.
Stanford also enjoyed a big jump in the Coaches Poll, moving from 16th to 11th. USC dropped from 3rd all the way down to 12th.
Arkansas dropped from the rankings after being blown out by Alabama 52-0. Virginia Tech, previously ranked 13th, fell out after losing to unranked Pittsburgh.
Mississippi State makes their first appearance in the poll at 23rd. The Bulldogs are 3-0 after they beat Troy 30-24. Oklahoma State also returned the Coaches Poll after beating UL Lafayette 65-24.

Stanford is one position ahead of USC…….Give me a break coaches.
Just look at Florida State and Clemson. It will be interesting if the winner gets due credit. Honestly, they should be vaulted to about the #2 spot with whoever wins that game. Alabama looks great, but they’ve only been playing overrated and reeling teams so I don’t understand why their wins are considered overwhelming evidence of how superior they are.
