The Alabama A&M Bulldogs have added the South Carolina State Bulldogs to their 2021 football schedule, the school announced on Thursday.
Alabama A&M will host South Carolina State to open the 2021 season on Saturday, Sept. 4 in the Louis Crews Classic at Louis Crews Stadium in Huntsville, Ala.
Alabama A&M announced the game along with the four Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) opponents that will visit Huntsville this fall. The Bulldogs will host Jackson State for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 9, Florida A&M on Saturday, Oct. 16, Mississippi Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 6, and Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday, Nov. 20.
“We are really excited for this upcoming season,” said Alabama A&M Director of Athletics Bryan Hicks. “The schedule is loaded with competitive balance between new opponents and traditional rivalries that will be great fun for the Bulldog Faithful. With all the challenges from this past year, we are ready for some football at Louis Crews Stadium!”
The remainder of Alabama A&M’s fall 2021 schedule will be announced at a later date. That announcement will include four SWAC opponents and two non-conference opponents on the road.
“We are extremely excited about just playing at home again in front of our fans,” said head coach Connell Maynor. “We have a tough schedule next year but we look forward to the challenge and we will be ready.”
