The Big Ten Conference has officially announced their football schedule through the 2025 season.
The Big Ten will continue to play a nine-game conference schedule. However, for the 2022 through 2025 cycle, the conference has changed up their “permanent” cross-division games.
Big Ten has switched most of its “permanent” crossover games beginning in 2022 for four years.

Additionally, the Hy-Vee Heroes game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers has been moved back to Black Friday for all four seasons (2022-25).
Big Ten schools are also now allowed to schedule teams from the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in years when they only have four conference home games.
There appear to be some exceptions to that rule, however. Rutgers recently announced a home matchup with the Monmouth Hawks for the 2020 season, and the Scarlet Knights have five Big Ten home games that year.
