The 2026 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) football schedule has been officially announced. Conference play begins on Thursday, Aug. 27 with Maine at Towson.
For the 2026 season, the CAA will consist of 13 football-playing members following the latest round of conference realignment. The Villanova Wildcats and William & Mary Tribe are each departing the CAA and moving their football programs to the Patriot League. Sacred Heart, who has been playing as a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Independent, joins the CAA next fall.
The complete roster of CAA football members in 2026 includes Bryant, Campbell, Elon, Hampton, Maine, Monmouth, New Hampshire, North Carolina A&T, Rhode Island, Sacred Heart, Stony Brook, Towson, and UAlbany.
CAA football teams will continue to play an eight-game conference schedule in 2026 with four home games and four road contests.
When building the schedule, pairing teams within the same geographic area was taken into consideration as well as preserving rivalry games. Limiting air travel to reduce costs was a priority.
