Great work, Kevin! Thank you, for all you do!!
Unless they get a TV Deal, this will be the last year of the PAC 12.
Pretty much.
Where are all the ten remnant schools going?
Where are all the ten remnant schools going?
Both UCLA and USC join the B1G next year.
Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah will join the Big 12 Conference.
Ten full members from the Mountain West Conference will join the six remaining Pac-12 schools and merge to form the Pacific Athletic Conference (PAC). Air Force is the only exception as it joins The American.
All those moves are effective July 1, 2024. There are your answers. #themoreyouknow :)
The 10 full members of the Mountain West Conference averages earnings less than half ($12 million) of what the 10 remnants of the PAC-12; the 4 corner schools; the other six members average (all ~$31 million).
The new Big 12’s revenue averages less than what the four corner schools do. Why would they move to combine with a configuration (the new Big 12) that projects to earn less?
Unlike the schools in the new Big 12, the universities within the ACC and the PAC-12 are not willing nor wanting to fall that far behind the Big Ten and the SEC. None of them – none of them – are going to willingly signing up for that!
They are not going anywhere!! #kissit (.|.)
