The Central Arkansas Bears have announced their 2023 football schedule, which includes six home games and 11 contests total.

UCA opens the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 with a non-conference contest on the road in Stillwater, Okla., against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The home opener on “The Stripes” at Estes Stadium in Conway, Ark., takes place one week later, as the Bears take on the Texas College Steers. Texas College competes in the NAIA’s Sooner Athletic Conference.

The Texas College matchup was previously unannounced and was a replacement for UCA’s canceled game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Two additional non-league games are on the docket for Central Arkansas. The Bears will travel to Fargo, N.D., to battle nine-time FCS national champions North Dakota State on Saturday, Sept. 16, with a home tilt against Southeast Missouri of the OVC-Big South on Oct. 7.

ASUN-WAC play kicks off at home for Central Arkansas on Sept. 23, as Abilene Christian pays a visit to Conway. A bye week partitions home conference outings against Stephen F. Austin on Oct. 14 and Tarleton State on Oct. 28. The Eastern Kentucky Colonels bring to a close the ASUN-WAC home docket.

The Bears’ first league road trip occurs on Oct. 18, with a trip to Eccles Stadium in Cedar City, Utah, to battle Southern Utah in the offing. The other two treks away from Conway take place in November, with games at North Alabama on Nov. 4 and Austin Peay to close the season on Nov. 18.

Central Arkansas finished the 2022 season 5-6 overall and 3-2 in ASUN-WAC action. The Bears are guided by head coach Nathan Brown, who is in his sixth season leading the Bears.
