The Thanksgiving weekend schedule is just as I predicted.

However, the Lone Star Showdown should be on Thanksgiving night, like it used to be very often, as the headliner of a tripleheader of CFB games on ABC that day, as part of an effort by CFB to compete more heavily with the NFL on Thanksgiving Day as retaliation for the NFL intruding on Black Friday, which previously belonged exclusively to amateur football.

Texas-Texas A&M would get killed in the TV ratings by the NFL. The NFL is the one sport that college football just can’t compete against, and ESPN knows that. They will put an American Conference game on Thanksgiving night just for the people that will watch any college football over the NFL, but that’s it. They are not going to pick a fight with the NFL.

Black Friday is still relatively safe ground because the NFL can only stream games on Fridays until mid-December. The last thing college football wants to do is tick off the NFL and have them start lobbying congress to change the law.

Do not want to do this to you Z-Man ABC would show regularly scheduled programs on black Friday if games were played on actual Thanksgiving & remember networks have restrictions on televising CFB on Thanksgiving weekend.

CFB is extremely important on Black Friday buddy.

Also, Z-Man please be focus CFB on Thanksgiving weekend & do not be concerned about NFL they have their own business.

SEC prefer play on Black Friday than Thanksgiving evening.

NFL still rules on Thanksgiving Z-Man favor or opposed.

I really want ABC to show Harvard-Yale from Fenway Park at Noon followed by two SEC games at 3:30PM & 7:30PM 11/21/26.

Excellent to see SEC improving on having more conference games on next to last weekend of regular season.

Illininoles97 This is just a suggestion & it would be very nice that Harvard-Yale would be on Over The Air Television like ABC.

Traditional noon kickoff is most important part of Harvard-Yale similar to Michigan-Ohio State.

Furthermore, I do not expect whole nation to watch Harvard-Yale however it worth to take a try to have it on ABC & if CFB fans want to watch other games at noon time slot that will be excellent with me for example Ohio State at Nebraska on FOX, Kentucky at Missouri on ESPN, Houston at Texas Tech on ESPN2 or Syracuse at Boston College on CW.

To everybody this is only a mock schedule & I do respect conferences & networks deciding games in 7–12-day window.

Finally, Georgia will play Oklahoma week 4 & they were supposed to play a few years ago before Oklahoma became an SEC member.
