The 2022 preseason Coaches Poll has been released and the Alabama Crimson Tide top the rankings. Alabama received 54 of the 65 first place votes and 1,634 total points.
Alabama is followed by the Ohio State Buckeyes (five first-place votes) in second. The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated Alabama in the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship, are ranked third and received six first-place votes.
Rounding out the top ten are Clemson (4), Notre Dame (5), Michigan (6), Texas A&M (7), Utah (8), Oklahoma (9), and Baylor (10).
The SEC leads all conferences with six teams in the Top 25 poll. The ACC follows with five ranked teams. Listed below is the full conference breakdown:
