The 2021 The Citadel Bulldogs at Coastal Carolina Chanticleers football game has been moved up two days, both schools have announced.
The Citadel and Coastal Carolina will meet at Brooks Stadium in Conway, S.C., on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021. The game was previously scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 4. Kickoff time and television coverage will be announced at a later date.
The Citadel and Coastal Carolina first met on the gridiron in 2014 in Charleston , S.C., which resulted in a 31-16 Chanticleer victory. Their only other meeting came the following season in first round FCS Playoff game in Conway. The Citadel defeated Coastal Carolina in that matchup, 41-38.
According to the copy of the contract obtained by FBSchedules.com, Coastal Carolina will pay The Citadel a $315,000 guarantee for their game this season.
