The 2021 contest between the Charlotte 49ers and Duke Blue Devils has been moved up one week from Saturday, Sept. 11 to Saturday, Sept. 4, per a letter obtained Wednesday afternoon.

The date change means that Charlotte’s Sept. 4 contest with FCS Duquesne will need to be rescheduled or canceled. Duke has a contest with FCS North Carolina A&T scheduled for 2021, of which the date is still to be determined.
