The 2014 season gets underway on Thursday, Aug. 28 when Texas A&M visits South Carolina, Vanderbilt hosts Temple, and Ole Miss faces Boise State in the first of two Chick-fil-A Kickoff Games.

I like the new rivalry, Texas A&M .vs. LSU, for their final regular season game. That might be a battle to watch every year, if TX A&M can continue to play well, without Johnny football.
With the new SEC Network on board. The league is going to have to start spreading out more SEC games throughout the season. Will not be able to have weeks loaded with 2, 3 and 4 games against FCS teams. They will need to spread those games out. Look for a few more early season SEC games that were normally at the end of the season. Kentucky and Vanderbilt are now playing at the end of September in 2014 in a game that was annually 2nd week of November. League may have to shift a few more games around to balance the schedule in 2015, but don’t expect a huge change going forward. I do expect the league to keep moving one game or two conference games to opening every weekend as it’s prime games to start the season. Texas A&M @ So. Carolina and Arkansas @ Auburn are the big prime time conference games to kickoff the opening weekend for the SEC this year on the new network.
Glad to see the $EC is keeping the FCS schools in business!!!!
Now, Jim, who wants to play nail biters OOC all the time? With the BCS gone it remains to be seen if it really impacts the playoff picture or not. Bring on the Fcs. It’s a thrill for them and sometimes ‘a rest’ for the Dawgs.
I don’t like the idea of conference games at the beginning of the season, I never have.
why is Georgia on the road for 6 weeks and are we ever going to get out of Jacksonville because auburn got out of Birmingham against alabama
Think you need to look again. I see only 4 road games plus the florida game.
also where were all the rvs and pbr drinkers for the gator bowl half empty sick of Jacksonville and buck bulue move the game out of neutral site 60 miles ha ha ha ha
Ray is an idiot…..the Jacksonville game is great for both teams.
Half the Dawgs fans own houses on Fernandina or Sea Island
Where can I get a print of the 2014 sec schedule? The helmet ones with time & dates. Go Dawgs…
There isn’t one with the times on them as far as I know.
