Wyoming and Ball State will play a home-and-home series in 2020 and 2021, according to a copy of the contract obtained from Wyoming via an open records request.
In the first game of the series, Wyoming will travel to face Ball State at Scheumann Stadium in Muncie, Indiana on Sept. 26, 2020. The Cowboys will then host the Cardinals at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie on Sept. 18, 2021.
The 2020 meeting between Wyoming and Ball State will be their first-ever matchup on the gridiron.
Wyoming will host Portland State in Laramie on Sept. 9, 2023. The Vikings will receive a $400,000 guarantee for the game, per a copy of the contract.
Portland State is a member of the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Last season, the Vikings fell to Northern Iowa 29-17 in the 2nd round of the FCS Playoffs and finished the season 9-3 overall.
Wyoming has been busy with adjusting their future schedules over the last few months. The Cowboys dropped a 2018 game at Idaho, added Weber State for 2020, and added a trip to Arizona State in 2024.
