The Utah State Aggies have added the Weber State Wildcats and the Idaho State Bengals to their future football schedules, Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics John Hartwell announced on Friday.
Weber State and Idaho State both compete in the Big Sky Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Utah State will host Weber State at Maverik Stadium in Logan, Utah, on Sept. 10, 2022. The game will mark the 16th overall meeting between the two schools.
Utah State and Weber State first met on the gridiron in 1972. The Aggies have defeated the Wildcats in their last eight meetings and currently lead the overall series 14-1.
The Idaho State Bengals will travel to take on Utah State at Maverik Stadium on Sept. 9, 2023. The game will be ISU’s 17th appearance in Logan.
Utah State and Idaho State first played in football 117 years ago in 1903. Utah State leads the all-time series 17-2 and has won the last five matchups.
Utah State has also scheduled a two-game, home-and-home series with the UConn Huskies that we covered here. Utah State will host UConn at Maverik Stadium on Aug. 27, 2022 (Week Zero) and will return the game at Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., the following season on Sept. 30, 2023.
