The Tennessee Volunteers have announced their 2012 football schedule, which features games against Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Missouri and Tennessee.
Tennessee opens the 2012 season against NC State in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game is currently scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1.
Other non-conference games for the Volunteers include Georgia State (Sept. 8), Akron (Sept. 22) and Troy (Nov. 3).
The Volunteers begin the SEC season on Sept. 15 at home against Florida. The rest of the Vols’ SEC schedule includes at Georgia (Sept. 29), at Mississippi State (Oct. 13), Alabama (Oct. 20), at South Carolina (Oct. 27), Missouri (Nov. 10), at Vanderbilt (Nov. 17) and vs. Kentucky (Nov. 24).
The 2012 SEC Championship Game will be played on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Hummm….’till now, I thought only Penn State played teams such as Troy, and Akron. Oh, forgot, Penn State also played Coastal Carolina one year.
