The North Dakota State (NDSU) Bison have rescheduled canceled football games against Drake and North Carolina A&T in 2020 to the 2022 season, the school announced on Friday.
North Dakota State was originally scheduled to host the Drake Bulldogs on Sept. 12, 2020 and the North Carolina A&T Aggies on Sept. 19, 2020, but both games were canceled due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The Bison will now open the 2022 season at home at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., on Saturday, Sept. 3 against Drake. The following week on Sept. 10, the Bison will host the Aggies at the Fargodome.
North Dakota State was slated to pay Drake a $230,000 guarantee and North Carolina A&T a $240,000 guarantee, per a previous public records request to North Dakota State University.
Drake is a member of the Pioneer Football League. North Carolina A&T is currently a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), but is moving to the Big South Conference beginning with the fall 2021 season.
The third and final non-conference game for North Dakota State in 2022 is on the road against the Arizona Wildcats on Sept. 17.
The Bison begin Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) action on Sept. 24 at South Dakota. Other road conference opponents include Indiana State, Western Illinois, and Southern Illinois.
MVFC opponents visiting the Fargodome in 2022 include Youngstown State, South Dakota State, Illinois State, and North Dakota.
