The Liberty Flames have announced a revised 2020 football schedule, which features five home games and 10 contests overall.
Two new matchups are included on Liberty’s revised slate. The Flames will host the North Alabama Lions of the Big South Conference on Oct. 3 and will travel to take on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers of the Sun Belt Conference on Dec. 5.
Liberty is scheduled to open the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 19 when they travel to take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Other road contests for Liberty in 2020 include Syracuse (Oct. 17), Virginia Tech (Nov. 7), and NC State (Nov. 21).
The Flames open their five-game home schedule on Sept. 26 when they play host to Florida International at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg, Va. Remaining home games include ULM (Oct. 10), Southern Miss (Oct. 24), and Western Carolina (Nov. 14).
Liberty will have two open dates on their schedule on Oct. 31 and Nov. 28 since they are only playing 10 games and also competing on Dec. 5.

If Liberty doesn’t start administering more COVID tests, they’ll be looking for replacements for those three ACC opponents.
Oh please. Syracuse has hundreds of kids partying together and they have the never to call out Liberty? ACC guidelines said once a week but the official rules say once a week in season. If Syracuse wants 3 x a week, take it up with the ACC, not Liberty.
Not bad for an Independent getting 10 games and 3 ACC games.
Was Liberty scheduled to play Army this year? Was that canceled?
No, they weren’t scheduled to play Army:
