The ETSU Buccaneers have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes a game at Georgia.
“This will be yet another challenging schedule as we head to Georgia and Austin Peay,” ETSU football head coach Randy Sanders said. “Not to mention the league being as deep as it is, always makes each game exciting. We are excited for the season ahead and look forward to seeing our fans fill the seats at Greene Stadium.”
ETSU will open the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 5 at home at William B. Greene Jr. Stadium in Johnson City, Tenn., against the Mars Hill Lions. The Buccaneers then travel to Athens to take on the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 12.
Samford visits Johnson City on Sept. 19, which will be the Southern Conference (SoCon) opener for both schools.
Next, ETSU travels for consecutive road games at Austin Peay on Sept. 26 and at The Citadel on Oct. 3. After their only open date of the season on Oct. 10, the Buccaneers host Western Carolina on Oct. 17.
Next, ETSU travels to take on VMI on Oct. 24. The following week on Halloween (Oct. 31), the Buccaneers host Chattanooga in Johnson City.
Two of ETSU’s final three regular-season contests are on the road. The Bucs travel to both Mercer on Nov. 7 and Wofford on Nov. 14 before closing out against Furman at home on Nov. 21.
