The Dixie State Trailblazers have announced their Spring 2021 football schedule, their first as a member of the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Dixie State is moving up to the FCS beginning with the Spring 2021 season and the Trailblazers will compete as an Independent. DSU previously competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in Division II.
The Trailblazers’ original 2020 football schedule was scrapped after they canceled their fall season due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Dixie State will play their first game as a member of the FCS on the road against the Tarleton State Texans on Saturday, Feb. 27. The following week on March 6, the Trailblazers travel to take on the New Mexico State Aggies in their first contest against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent.
Tarleton State returns the trip to Dixie State on Saturday, March 13 at Greater Zion Stadium in St. George, Utah, which will complete an in-season home-and-home series. The Trailblazers then travel to take on the Kennesaw State Owls on Saturday, March 20.
Dixie State closes out their six-game Spring football schedule with back-to-back games at Greater Zion Stadium. The Trailblazers host the Fort Lewis Skyhawks on Saturday, March 27 and the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys on Saturday, Apr. 3 for Senior Night.
