The College Football Playoff 2020 semifinal pairings have been announced. The Alabama Crimson Tide, the top-ranked team, will play the No. 4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Rose Bowl Game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The Rose Bowl Game was moved from Pasadena, Calif., to Arlington on Saturday evening due to rising COVID-19 cases in Southern California.
The Clemson Tigers, the No. 2 team, will play the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes in the Allstate Sugar Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, La. Both College Football Playoff semifinal games will be played on Friday, January 1, 2021. The Rose Bowl is first at 4:00pm ET, and the Allstate Sugar Bowl follows at 8:00pm ET, both on ESPN.
Later on Sunday afternoon, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will officially announce the four remaining bowls in the “New Year’s Six.” Those bowls are as follows: Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, PlayStation Fiesta Bowl, and Capital One Orange Bowl.
The remaining college football bowl games will be announced throughout the day and finalized by Sunday evening.
Due to numerous teams opting out of playing in a bowl game this season, additional bowls are expected to be canceled today. The 11 bowls already canceled include the Bahamas Bowl, Celebration Bowl (FCS), Fenway Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, RedBox Bowl, SDCCU Holiday Bowl, Quick Lane Bowl, New Era Pinstripe Bowl, Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, and Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl.
Winners of the two College Football Playoff semifinal games will advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The game will be televised by ESPN at 8:00pm ET.

Honestly……who cares? ESPN wanted their “big names” to ensure ad revenue and they got it. Norte Dame is a joke at #4 and everyone knows it. Alabama is going to beat the green out of the Irish. Ohio State also is questionable as the Big 10 changed their rules to accommdate the Buckeyes….the same league that refused to let Nebraska play a game after one of theirs was cancelled. Cincinnati deserves to go more then anyone else…..
And again ESPN,shame on them for not giving Army a bowl at 9-2 while accepting teams with LOSING records ahead of them…..ESPN own two games with military tie-ins and yet there is Army sitting on the outside.
This has been one of the most disgraceful seasons in college football history on so many levels…….
