The BYU Cougars have announced their 2020 football schedule, which includes six games against opponents from the Power Five.
BYU opens the 2020 season on the road against in-state rival Utah on Thursday, Sept. 3. The following week on Saturday, Sept. 12, BYU hosts Michigan State in their home-opener at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah.
Back-to-back road contests are up next as the Cougars travel to take on Arizona State on Sept. 19 and Minnesota on Sept. 26. The Cougars then return home to host three consecutive contests against Utah State (Friday, Oct. 2), Missouri (Oct. 10), and Houston (Oct. 17).
BYU hits the road to take on Northern Illinois on Oct. 24 before their only open date of the season on Oct. 31.
The Cougars open their November slate on the road against Boise State on the 7th before returning to LaVell Edwards Stadium to host San Diego State on the 14th and North Alabama on the 21st.
BYU closes out their 2020 regular-season campaign with a road contest at Stanford on Nov. 28. Earlier on Wednesday, BYU and Stanford announced a four-game extension of their future football series.

BYU finished the 2019 season 7-6 overall, capped off by a narrow 38-34 loss to Hawaii in the SoFi Hawaii Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii.
