The 2021 contest will be the first-ever meeting between Arkansas State and Washington on the gridiron.
Arkansas State now has three announced non-conference opponents for the 2021 season. The Red Wolves are slated to open the season with back-to-back games at home against the Central Arkansas Bears on Sept. 4 and the Memphis Tigers on Sept. 11.
The addition of Arkansas State tentatively completes Washington’s non-conference schedule in 2021. Since the Pac-12 plays nine conference games, the Huskies only need three non-conference opponents each season.
Washington is scheduled to open the 2021 season at home against the Montana Grizzlies on Sept. 4 before traveling to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines on Sept. 11.
Football Schedules
Why would Washington pay so much to a team that has no attraction to the fans of the northwest, when a Mountain West team could have been scheduled for less?
