The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Texas Tech Red Raiders have had preliminary discussions about playing at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas in 2012, according to various news reports.
Texas Tech athletic director Gerald Myers sounds confident that the football game will occur, while Alabama officials say they have not yet agreed in principle.
The game is reportedly being arranged by ESPN and will occur on Labor Day weekend in 2012. It will likely be a single game contract and not a home-and-home series.
