Aggies Replace Nicholls State With Alcorn State

By Kevin Kelley -

Due to Hurricane Gustav affecting the Gulf Coast region, the Nicholls State Colonels and New Mexico State Aggies were forced to cancel their September 4 football game. A makeup date was unable to be scheduled. Therefore, New Mexico State moved forward and scheduled a home game against the Alcorn State Braves on October 4.

The October 4 date on the Aggies schedule was formerly an off week and enables New Mexico State to play a 12-game schedule. This will be the first meeting between the two schools.
