The 2011 MAC football schedules were released today and have been posted. The season begins on Thursday, September 1 with Central Michigan, Temple and Toledo each hosting non-conference opponents. Conference play begins on Saturday, September 10.
Some of the prominent non-conference games include Akron at Ohio State, Ball State vs. Indiana (at Lucas Oil Stadium), Ball State at Oklahoma, Bowling Green at West Virginia, Buffalo at Tennessee, Central Michigan at Kentucky, Eastern Michigan at Michigan, Kent State at Alabama, Miami (OH) at Missouri, Northern Illinois vs. Wisconsin (at Soldier Field), Ohio at Rutgers, Penn State at Temple, Toledo at Ohio State and Western Michigan at Connecticut.
The regular season concludes with the MAC Championship game at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on Friday, December 2, 2011 (8:00 p.m. ET – ESPN2).
