The South Dakota State Jackrabbits will play at the Colorado State Rams in 2021, the school announced on Wednesday.
South Dakota State will travel to take on Colorado State at Colorado State Stadium in Fort Collins on Sept. 4, 2021. The two schools have met twice previously and CSU won both games, 52-20 in 1965 and 45-14 in 1966.
South Dakota State is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Jackrabbits made the FCS Playoffs this season and play at James Madison in a semifinal game on Saturday.
SDSU also announced today the addition of three future games at the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Jackrabbits will travel to Lincoln in 2020 (Sept. 12), 2024 (Aug. 31), and 2028 (Sept. 9).
The addition of South Dakota State tentatively completes Colorado State’s non-conference schedule for the 2021 season. The Rams are also slated to host Vanderbilt (Sept. 11) and travel to both Toledo (Sept. 18) and Iowa (Sept. 25).
