What do you think of the poll? Is your team ranked? Let us know in the comments below.
7-6 Arkansas? SEC bias all around.
That was last year. Supposedly Arkansas should be better this year.
It’s a long road to January.
All preseason polls do is feed media bias that shape the impressions and playoff picture. Just go look a the last 5 years of how many top 10 or top 20 teams preseason that end up being mediocre 7-5 or 6-6- or worse. Of course schools, conferences, etc..hype we played or beat x number of ranked teams but mnay of those teams may fade to being no longer quality wins. Preseason polls do a disservice to the process and have forever.
Overrated: Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, USC, Notre Dame, Stanford, Utah, Minnesota, Illinois
Underrated: Georgia, Wisconsin, Boise State, Kansas State, Texas, Duke, BYU
I don’t care for early season polls however for all of you who do I shall entertain this notion and give you my “still too early” top 25:

16. Arizona State
17. Notre Dame

19. Oklahoma

SEC-6, PAC12-6, BigXII-4, ACC-4, BIG-3, MWC-1, Independents-1
Arkansas and Tennessee shouldn’t be on this list because they still have a lot to prove but honestly that goes for everyone. The list should be a blank slate for the first 4 weeks of the season that way it can be formulated based on actual performance and standings and not biased rankings that give certain conferences an extreme advantage over others.

Well said.
Michigan with new coach could crack top 25!
We should all just thank our Lucky Stars that this has no bearing on selecting a national championship match up any longer.
The poll should be renamed the Amway Were You Good Last Year Poll or alternatively, the Amway Do You Have a Large Fanbase Poll.
Auburn overrated went 8-5 and the team is 7 in the coaches poll
If my memory is correct. Last season Ohio St lost Braxton Miller before the season started and after the polls were released. After beating Navy 34-17 they still dropped in the rankings. Having said that. Why is Oregon ranked so high when they don’t have a QB. And Alabama and Baylor doesn’t have one either and yet they are ranked so high.
UCLA is way too low. They are the best team in the PAC 12.
Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, have no business being ranked.
The Big 12 will be left out of the playoff again. Those schools need to come together and fire their Commissioner. TCU will go on the road to Oklahoma and lose creating the chaos from last season for the Big 12.
You all sure think a lot of Georgia, though I can’t imagine why. The Bulldogs have as much talent as anyone in their conference, but they usually lose the “BIG” games – at a rate of 3 or 4 per year. They are like Notre Dame, except that once in a blue moon Notre Dame delivers big time. Georgia never does.
You want a couple of underrated teams – try Georgia Tech (oh, I forgot about what “the boys who really know football said”) – “you can’t win big time college ball with the wishbone.” LOL Also try Texas – watch out Notre Dame – you’ve got both of them in September!
Finally, I agree with GEG about firing the Big 12 Commissioner. He’s out of touch.
