The Campbell Camels will play at the Furman Paladins in 2028, according to Campbell University’s official athletics website.
Campbell and Furman met last season on the campus of Campbell University at Barker-Lane Stadium in Buies Creek, N.C. The Paladins emerged with the victory in that contest, 28-24, which was the first-ever meeting between the two schools in football.
That 2025 contest was the first game of a home-and-home series, as Campbell’s website indicates that it will travel to face Furman on September 9, 2028 at Paladin Stadium in Greenville, S.C.
Furman becomes the second non-conference opponent added to Campbell’s football schedule in 2028, joining a road contest at Duke on Sept. 1. That leaves the Camels with two openings to go along with its eight-game CAA schedule.
Campbell is also the second non-league opponent for Furman in 2028. The Paladins are also scheduled to visit Florida on Sept. 2.
The Southern Conference is likely moving to a nine-game league football schedule in the future. If that occurs by 2028, Furman would only have one non-conference opening.

If I remember korrektly,
Furman Uni. has occasionally made the 24 team Playoff.
If I remember korrektly, I don’t think Campbell Uni. has qualified 4 the 24 Team Playoff either in a long time OR never.
