The Notre Dame Fighting Irish remain at number one in the BCS Standings for Week 14. The Irish beat USC last night 22-13 to finish the 2012 regular-season undefeated at 12-0.
The Alabama Crimson Tide (11-1, 7-1 SEC) remain in 2nd place after their 49-0 drubbing of rival Auburn in the Iron Bowl. The win clinched the SEC West for the Crimson Tide, who will now face BCS no. 3 Georgia in the 2012 SEC Championship Game on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET (CBS).
The winner of the Alabama-Georgia game will likely finish 2nd in the rankings, which would pit them against Notre Dame in the 2013 Discover BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 7.
Florida, who beat then no. 10 Florida State 37-26, remained in 4th place by a slim margin. The Gators are finished with their regular-season, so they will be unable to move up to play in the title game. As we mentioned, that spot will likely go to the SEC Championship Game winner.
Oregon, Kansas State, LSU, Stanford, Texas A&M, and South Carolina round out the BCS Top 10.
Northern Illinois, Northwestern, San Jose State, and Utah State all entered the BCS Standings this week, while Arizona, Louisville, Rutgers, and Washington each dropped out.

If the Season ended today, then this would be the following BCS-Bowls matchups:

Sugar Bowl: Georgia (3) vs. Stanford(8)
Fiesta Bowl: Kansas State (6) vs. Rutgers(NR)
Rose Bowl: Oregon (5) vs. Nebraska (12)
Wrong. The Rose Bowl selects the Big10 and Pac10 champs, which would be:
Stanford vs. Nebraska.
Then the Fiesta bowl has first choice, and they would be foolish not to select Oregon, making the Fiesta Bowl:
Kansas St vs. Oregon
Then the Sugar Bowl (who would have already selected UGa/UF to replace Alabama) would choose:
UGa/UF vs. Oklahoma
Finally, the Orange Bowl selects:
Florida St vs Rutgers
Of course, there are still a couple of games that could move things around. For instance, if Kent St wins the MAC, and UCLA loses to Stanford, there is the possibility they could jump to 16 and earn an automatic bid, which would slide Rutgers to the Sugar and Kent St to the Orange. Or if Oklahoma loses to TCU, then Clemson could be selected by the Sugar, or if KSU loses to Texas and Oklahoma beats TCU then Oklahoma to the Fiesta. Still some movement possible.
If Louisville and Cincinnati wins their final game, then there will be 4 co-champions in the Big East with a record of 5-2.

Dear Shawn D, these games must played, then we will have the answers. Just look at the term “It´s wide right, the underdogs are champion of the[…]-Conference!” Florida State could lose against Georgia Tech, then Stanford could lose against UCLA, like Wisconsin could win against Nebraska.
Uh, ok. Not sure what that has to do with anything. There is no circumstance that allows for Oregon to play in the Rose Bowl, that will be either Stanford or UCLA. Or Stanford in the Sugar Bowl, they are Rose or bust. Or Rutgers in the Fiesta Bowl, unless the Fiesta Bowl committee is comprised of people who aren’t interested in money. Even your Sugar Bowl SEC rep is wrong. If UGa loses to Bama in the SECCG, then it is a near sure-fire lock that Florida will be in the Sugar Bowl.
My main point was that quite a bit of what you posted was wrong.
