The Central Connecticut Blue Devils have finalized their fall 2021 football schedule with the addition of a game against the Southern Connecticut Owls.
Central Connecticut will host Southern Connecticut at Arute Field in New Britain, Conn., on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, which will be their first meeting since the 2011 season. Southern Connecticut competes in the Northeast 10 Conference in Division II.
Other non-conference opponents for the Blue Devils include Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 18) and Columbia (Oct. 9) at home and Miami FL (Sept. 25) on the road.
Northeast Conference (NEC) action for Central Connecticut kicks off on Sept. 11 on the road against Wagner. The Blue Devils will also travel to play Sacred Heart (Oct. 16), Merrimack (Oct. 30), and Duquesne (Nov. 13).
NEC opponents scheduled to visit Arute Field this fall include LIU (Oct. 23), Bryant (Nov. 6), and Saint Francis U. (Nov. 20).

Central Connecticut opted out of playing during the Spring 2021 NEC football season. The Blue Devils claimed their sixth Northeast Conference title in 2019 after posting an 11-2 overall record, which was their best in history.
