The Florida Atlantic Owls will face the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in a 2014-15 home-and-home football series, FAU announced today.
FAU will host the first game of the series at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton in 2014. The second and final game will be hosted by the Golden Hurricane at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium in 2015. The two schools have never met in football.
The announcement of the series completes FAU’s non-conference schedules through 2015. Their 2013 slate features games at Auburn, Miami (FL), and USF and a visit from New Mexico State. In 2014, the Owls travel to Alabama, Nebraska, and Wyoming and host Tulsa.
Florida Atlantic will only have three non-conference games in 2015 due to the Sun Belt moving to a 9-game conference schedule. That season, FAU hosts the Miami Hurricanes and travels to Florida and Tulsa.
Tulsa now has three non-conference games for both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Games at Colorado State and home vs. Oklahoma are on tap for 2014, while trips to Oklahoma and New Mexico are slated for 2015.
Next season, Tulsa is scheduled to host Colorado State and Iowa State and travel to Bowling Green and Oklahoma.
