The College Football Playoff Rankings for Dec. 8, 2020 have been released by the selection committee, and the Top 6 remains unchanged from last week.
Alabama remains in first place, and the Crimson Tide are followed by (2) Notre Dame, (3) Clemson, (4) Ohio State, (5) Texas A&M, (6) and Florida.
The Iowa State Cyclones, previously ranked No. 9, moved up two spots to No. 7, jumping both Cincinnati and Georgia. Cincinnati and Georgia are now ranked eighth and ninth, respectively.
Wisconsin (16), Marshall (21), Washington (22), and Oregon (23) each dropped out of the College Football Rankings following losses last week.
Cincinnati (8th) is currently the highest ranked team from a Group of Five conference. Coastal Carolina is the next highest non-power team at No. 13. Check out the full CFP Top 25 rankings below.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release their Top 25 rankings each week on Tuesday through Dec. 15. Below is the schedule of dates:
- Tuesday, December 15
- Sunday, December 20 (Selection Day)
On Sunday, Dec. 20 at Noon ET, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the Playoff Semifinal pairings and semifinal bowl assignments. Those will be followed by the pairings for the remainder of the New Year’s Six bowl games.

Why did Cincinnati slip behind a 2 loss Iowa State? The Committee chair said that IOWA State looked really good against 5-4 West Virginia.
The real answer they need to make sure the Playoff Money stay between the ACC, SEC, Bif10, B12 and maybe the PAC12.
