The Abilene Christian Wildcats have added the West Texas A&M Buffaloes to their 2020 football schedule, according to a report by The Optimist, Abilene Christian’s student media operation.
Abilene Christian will host West Texas A&M at Wildcat Stadium in Abilene, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, per the report. The game will mark the 47th overall meeting between the two schools on the gridiron.

In their most recent contest in 2012, West Texas A&M defeated Abilene Christian 36-0. The Wildcats still lead the overall series 28-18.
West Texas A&M is a member of the Lone Star Conference in Division II. Their fall conference competition was postponed to spring following an announcement on August 7.
Earlier on Friday, the UTEP Miners officially announced that they had added the Abilene Christian Wildcats to their 2020 football schedule. The contest is set for Sept. 19 at Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.
Abilene also has a game scheduled at the Army Black Knights on Saturday, Oct. 3.
According to The Optimist, Abilene Christian intends to schedule two additional non-conference opponents, which would give the Wildcats a total of five games for the fall season.
